プライバシーポリシー
Last updated: September 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Auto Refresh Turbo (the “Extension”) handles information when you install and use it in Google Chrome. The Extension’s purpose is to reload browser tabs on a schedule you choose.
Summary
Information stored on your device
The Extension uses chrome.storage.local to keep:
- Refresh settings (interval, presets, random range, schedule window, and related options)
- Active and paused refresh session snapshots (including tab identifiers and URLs needed to restore sessions after a browser restart)
- Optional on-page timer position preferences
- UI preferences such as language selection, welcome banner dismissal, and rating-prompt state
- Short-lived local notes used for suspicious-page stop status
This information stays in your browser profile unless you clear extension data or uninstall the Extension.
Page access and local processing
Depending on the options you enable, the Extension may inject a content script into tabs you are refreshing in order to:
- Show an optional on-page countdown timer
- Stop refreshing when you click or type on the page (optional)
- Stop refreshing when a simple on-page heuristic suggests a captcha or error-like page (optional)
Page content used for these features is processed locally in your browser. The Extension does not upload page HTML, form fields, or screenshots to our servers.
Permissions
The Extension requests Chrome permissions only to provide its features:
- storage — save settings and session state on your device
- alarms — schedule refreshes when the popup is closed
- tabs — reload tabs, read basic tab metadata for the session list, and update the toolbar badge
- scripting — inject optional on-page features when needed
- activeTab — temporary access tied to your interaction with the Extension
- Host access — required so optional on-page features can run on the sites you refresh
Hard refresh uses Chrome’s tab reload with cache bypass. It does not clear your cookies.
Network activity
Core tab refreshing works offline and does not require contacting our servers. Opening Chrome Web Store review links (for example from the optional rating prompt) uses Google’s store pages in your browser.
For product reliability and quality, the Extension may send limited telemetry to self-hosted services operated for this product line:
-
Umami (
umami.extsite.tech) — coarse extension UI pageviews and named events such as install/update and start/stop of refresh actions. No browsing history of arbitrary websites is sent. -
GlitchTip (
glitchtip.extsite.tech) — anonymized error reports (message/stack tags) to fix crashes. No page content, cookies, or personal form data are attached.
Optional uninstall and loyalty feedback forms open on
feedback.extsite.tech and features.extsite.tech
with only a product identifier (ext=).
Children’s privacy
The Extension is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data sale and sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share Extension storage contents with advertisers or data brokers.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy when the Extension’s behavior changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
